Victor Mooney is the Colorguard Director at Azle High School. He most recently was the Colorguard Director at Burleson Centennial High School from 2019 to 2025. Mr. Mooney is an accomplished colorguard director with over 35 years in the performing arts. With a deep passion for both the technical and artistic aspects of colorguard, Mr. Mooney has led numerous teams to regional and national success.  He believes in fostering a positive, disciplined environment where students are encouraged to grow both individually and as part of a team.     

Mr. Mooney is also involved in mentoring young instructors, judging, and also the Director of Colorguard at TCU.    

Outside of the colorguard world, Mr. Mooney enjoys traveling with his husband Carlos, and spending time with family and friends.

Mr. Mooney is excited to be a part of Azle ISD and to continue to share his love for colorguard while inspiring students to reach new heights in their personal and artistic growth.
