The Azle Jazz Orchestra is made up of some of the most talented students in the Azle ISD. Membership is granted through an audition process held in September. The Azle Jazz Orchestra consists of three ensembles including Jazz 1, Jazz 2, and Jazz Combo.
The focus of the Azle Jazz Orchestra is to develop each student to their fullest potential and foster a love of music and an appreciation of America’s only true art form…jazz. Students will be provided opportunities to explore their interests in the jazz idiom while developing their musical performance skills to the highest level possible. It is the purpose of the Azle Jazz Orchestra to provide an exceptional and enriching experience through extensive music study and performance.
The Azle Jazz Orchestra competes at local Jazz festivals, and has been invited to perform for the Texas State Board of Education in Austin, as well as opening the Azle Music in the Park festival most years.
